Join the upcoming International Tech Hub Network’s African Angel Academy programmes to learn via a structured but self-paced 12-module online course, and attend start-up showcases, expert masterclasses and live investor Q&A’s. You will also have the opportunity to receive mentorship if you form a new angel group.

• Presented entirely online, via a self-paced online course & live Zoom sessions

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The UK government’s, International Tech Hub Network is sponsoring two cohorts of new angel investors to participate in the
African Angel Academy in September 2021 and January 2022. This 13-week journey will comprise of:

& NETWORKING

Masterclasses on key topics with investors from across the ecosystem. Networking events with the full cohort of 80 new angels for collaboration and co-investment opportunities.

Meet promising start-ups from Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria towards
the end of the programme.

 NEW ANGEL GROUP MENTORSHIP

Apply for mentorship from an experienced angel
network manager for your new local group.

 JOIN A GROWING ALUMNI COMMUNITY

Join a growing African Angel Academy alumni group from 8 countries to access further learning events, networking opportunities and dealflow.

The programme features experienced angel investors from across the African continent and they share their first-hand experience on sourcing, making, managing and exiting investments in Africa. These experts are featured in the online course’s video modules, and in live masterclasses as part of the cohort programmes.

The International Tech Hub Network is delivered by DCMS (Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport) under the UK Government’s Digital Access Programme (DAP) which promotes digital inclusion and inclusive growth in partner countries. The Hubs forge innovation partnerships between the UK and international tech sectors, stimulate local digital economies, and build high-end digital skills to drive sustainable jobs and growth. DAP Hubs are located in South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Indonesia and Brazil.
